EUROPEAN HUMAN RIGHTS GROUPS CANNOT BE BELIEVED! European Human Rights groups are hard to believe. They are biased and have an axe to grind. We could use Colombia as a case point. The Human Rights groups are always lambasting the Government and Army of Colombia for human rights violations, while they stay silent on the tortures murders, atrocities, kidnappings, child abductions and molestations and other things by the FARC, the ELN and the myriad other bandit criminal groups. Indeed, the Europeans are constantly supplying these murderers, kidnappers and extortionist bandit criminal gangs with safe havens in Europe. But say no word about it! Tacitly, they are associate criminals and human rights violators. It is a one sided world with Human Rights Groups! They go after governments, but ignore the criminal gangs, like in Colombia that have carved out whole chunks of territory larger than some countries in Europe. Another thing that European countries have been doing is encouraging the Balkanization of Colombia under criminal warlords and actively supporting and encouraging them against the main government. But they have always been full of newspaper and television articles, bombast and rhetoric when attacking the Colombian government, but short of backing all the noise and flim flam with any money, except when dealing with the criminal warlord armies. It you talk and don't back up your talk with money, it is worthless. In the past 15 years there has been no real money out of Europe! The USA while doing something, really isn't do the things that are long term necessary in building Latin democracies. Which is political reform!
US GENERALS AND THE MILITARY INDUSTRIAL COMPLEX OF THE USA ARE HAVING FUN
WITH COLOMBIA! Accusations are coming forth, that obsolete US military equipment is being dumped in Colombia and charged full price against the cheque for the operation approved by the US Congress. There was a recent scandal with a new Gau-19 machine gun of 50 caliber. The bullets alone on this Gatling gun cost $4 each and even a few sorties burns up the budget needed for the training program. The Blackhawk helicopters were altered at a half million cost to carry the new gun, which does not work as advertised. It jams, and the electric control box burns out and the thing is so heavy it puts the helicopter out of weight and balance. The Congressional money is running out fast. USA DIPLOMATIC READINESS BUDGETS SUFFER HEAVY CUTS!
It is strange these goings on in Washington, D.C.! At least here in the 26 countries of the Caribbean, Central America and South America, we are one continent separated from the rest of the world by two Oceans. We need to make our continent work! This usually has been under USA leadership. But it seems that the USA is abdicating! It is going to be new groups like CARICOM to lead the way in the American Continent. How it will be done remains to be seen? Much more independent responsibility for financial and economic affairs is the rule of the day for Belize and many other countries who are our neighbors. Finance Minister Fonseca, you need to increase our Government Savings to a nest egg of $1400 million, from the $22 million or so, we have now. The writing is on the wall. It is going to get worse.
