I think it is, can anyone confirm !

Another of it flight, think this confirms it.

Can't see the tail well. The Common Black Hawk is very similar and on the island .

Added a side view, I am still unsure but it looks like !

Isn't that a snail hawk?

That was one of my considerations as it was picking out small crustaceans from the Sargasso.
I then went to the 'Birds of Belize' book and Solitary Eagle is the closest match.
I am no expert on the bird ID, just enjoy taking the pictures and trying to learn about them.

If that's not a Solitary Eagle, then it's a Goldfinch!!!!!!!!!
