From friends...

It is with profound sadness that I share the news of the death of Jim " Capt. Easy " Patterson. He came ashore in San Pedro on his sailboat The Diversion in 1990 or there about. He fell in love with the island and purchased land in S. San Pedro. The best builder, Mr Graniel sat down and on a bar napkin designed his home. A great residence came to be which reflected Jim at his finest. Casa Manana. So many occasions to recall. His marriage to Sharon, the wedding there, their lingerie party, way too many to list. I know he will be remembered by many.

They used to stay at the Playador before they built Casa Manana. They sold Casa Manana and moved to Grand Caribe and have been in Connecticut for quite a years.

He was a good neighbor and friend. One of our best outings was going with them to take a cat down the Rio Dulce for maintenance. What a fun adventure that was! I think Tom and Josie probably remember meeting along side is in customs in Livingston! RIO Pirate Jim.

He and Sharon were friends to all. The PJ party and Jim singing with the guy's Sat night at Hideaway. RIP Jim!

Our deepest condolences to Sharon and their families. Most certainly we spent many fun filled occasions while Jim and Sharon were on the island. Who remembers when Jim placed a billboard sign of a 8ft painting of a lady in a bikini holding a big "STOP" sign right in front of his real estate office which he shared with Jerry McDermott?

Indeed - sending Sharon the warmest healing thoughts. I'd forgotten the stop-sign Amanda, but now I remember! That was crazy funny.
