Reform Party Leader In Guatemala Hospital
The leader of the National Reform Party is tonight in a Guatemala hospital recovering from head injuries he received in a deadly car crash near Flores Guatemala on Monday. Family members have confirmed to 7NEWS that 43-year-old Cornelius Dueck along with three other persons were heading back to Belize in his pickup when the vehicle was involved in a serious collision.

We don't know all the details of the crash, but we do know that the driver, who is a Belizean died. Dueck received head injuries and a third man was also seriously injured. The fourth person, a woman, received minor injuries. Dueck was rushed to a Guatemala hospital where he is stable.

A family member told 7NEWS that Dueck was in Guatemala for religious purposes, not business.

Earlier this year Dueck founded the National Reform Party which is headquartered in Belize City.
