Court, Caye Caulker (free entry)

Restaurants, chefs, resorts and individuals in
Belize are invited to
participate. The theme is cold food. A small fee of
$25 per entry in
each of the following categories: Dessert, Salad,
Entree, beverage, or
Miscellaneous. Miscellaneous can even be ANY cold
food that doesn't
fall into the other category, such as bread,
appetizer. You can enter
as many categories as you wish. Foods can be cooked,
but must be
served cold. Chefs must agree to allow their recipe
to be published in
Caye Caulker Cool Cookbook. The event organizers
will provide 1 ounce
cups and each participant must fill 150 cups. For
example, if it's a
cake, then the chef would need to make two 9 x 13
pans and cut them
into 1" squares to have enough samples. Tasters will
be charged $5 bz
per category and given a colored plate and a
matching colored ballot
and will go to the dessert, salad, entree or misc.

then drop their vote
in the ballot box. At the end of the Fest, the votes
are counted and
prizes awarded. Plates will be color coded, like
pink for dessert,
green for salad, red for entree and white for misc.
Food must be ready
to assemble.
Time constraints? Send your food (and instructions)
and our volunteers
will assemble it for you. The layout of the festival
will be food
stations in the center of the Art Festival, located
at the basketball
court, beach side, Caye Caulker.

Remember to bring information and menus from your
restaurant or
business. This is a terrific chance to promote your
business in

Chefs are responsible for their own serving utensils
for portioning
their food, coolers for keeping it cool before
serving, their own
overnight accommodations and transportation to the
event (we maybe be
able to get some discount for participants). We can
serve the dish, if
you are not able to attend.

Last year's prizes were spectacular! This year's
prizes are to be determined.
First Prize winners from last year: $250 cash,
complimentary overnight
stay in a hotel (Radisson, Chaa Creek, Victoria
House or Seaside
Cabanas), a bottle of wine, 1 lb of Caye Coffee,
$150 gift certificate
from Caribbean Colors Art Gallery for your choice of
a hand colored
