Well, slow season is here. At least, slower than last month. I work mornings and my partner works the afternoons. Every single afternoon my handsome son (who I am absolutely and totally in love with) and I curl up in a hammock and take a siesta together. This is our mom / son bonding moment. We cuddle together and I rock him to sleep. (Don't ask about my rendition of Twinkle, twinkle, little star) which is the lullaby I (try to) sing to him while he falls asleep (:-). My neighbor swears it is what is causing the rain clouds to hover close by. Our siestas are from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. One hot afternoon this past week, my neighbor downstairs said to me: "Wendy, you need to do something." I had to remind her that I was busy sleeping! Needless to say, I have gained about ten pounds in the past six weeks.

Chelsy and Lexie, my kids' cousins are here, as are Diane's kids. They are just now starting to come home from school. Some of the older kids (Chelsey, J.A., and Justin) will be taking their scuba lessons (scuba certification) next week. Together with Giselle (who is already certified), they (we) hope to do some diving around some of the atolls. Giselle wanted to see the whale sharks, but I think they are long gone from the Placencia area by now.

Sigh! It's a tough life, but somebody's got to do it!

Cheers,
Wendy
