I just talked with my friend Jerry McDermott who is at his ranch in the Cayo
(mile 61 on the western highway) he says they have rain but that's all so
far. He has a friend who has set up a ham radio and says, as of 30 minutes
ago, the wind in San Pedro was still at about 50mph and that no one had been
killed that they know of. A lot of smaller houses destroyed, two of Tropic's
planes that were there were very badly damaged, Barry Bowen's plane which was
in it's hanger was damaged, etc. He said there are 3 planes in Belmopan and
that as soon as they are able to get there they will be flying to San Pedro,
although he did not think they would be able to land but would be able to get
a better view of the island. He understands that there has been a lot of
damage. Of course cell phones and land phones have been out as we know.

Best regards,
