Just want to clear up a few things concerning the incedent with Sharon's accident:
After reading the thread posted earlier, I felt it right to clarify. First of all, haven spoken to the only three people present at the time (Sharon, Fred, and Casidy) I can tell you that Sharon was not pushed, she did not fall getting in or out of the boat, nor were any of the people on board drunk whatsoever. It was simply bad weather, otherwise known as an accident. Furthermore, she definetly does pay social security out of each and every pay check, and always has. However, as some have noticed, this was not a work related accident although her employers were very generous and understanding about the situation. No, she may not have had a "rainy day" fund but this is understandable as we were coming out of low season. Knowing Sharon quite well I can be positive in knowing that any and all help was very greatly appreaciated. Sharon did not ask for the help she recieved, but in this wonderful place weve all chosen to call home, help is always given to those who need it simply out of the goodness of people's hearts. I noticed that many people in the previous thread were kind and supportive, and their comments far outweigh those which were negative and judgmental. A peice of advice for those who feel the need to gossip about things they know nothing about; get the facts before you talk, otherwise its you that ends up looking ignorant. As the saying goes, those who live in glass houses, shouldn't throw stones. And San Pedro is most definetlty a glass house.
Thank you again on behalf of Sharon to everyone who was there for her in her time of need. Karma is a beautiful thing.
