I don't know who owns or runs it, but I want to give them a shout out.
A skydiving friend of mine wanted to go to Belize for some R & R. She is in the Army and just spent a long tour in Iraq with an EOD (bomb techs) unit. She e-mailed me and I gave her the usual Ambergris Caye recommendations, but she really wanted peace, quiet and relaxation with not many other folks around. She picked Coco Plum on her own.
She got back yesterday and is telling everyone that will listen how great Belize is and what a wonderful place Coco Plum was. She told me today it was the greatest vacation she ever went on and the most gorgeous place ever, raved about the food and of course, LOVED the staff.
She's on a pretty modest income, never once mentioned the cost, and said for sure she will be back. She won't make the boogie in February because she is back in action with the Army.
I just thought with all of the doom and gloom about tourism lately that this was a pretty nice story!
