Three streets in the City of Belmopan received some much needed repairs. The Ministry of Works in partnership with the Belmopan City Council and Belize Roadway Construction, signed a contract in July of this year for the upgrading and paving of Atlantic, Jamaica and Pacific Streets. Those repairs were completed some three months ago and as promised, Atlantic, Jamaica and Pacific streets were to be resurfaced. Roadway Construction has been doing those repairs as of yesterday and today in the City of Belmopan. The paving of Atlantic, Jamaica and Pacific Streets came at a total cost of 184,761.25. Plus news also noticed that heavy machinery was working on Nim Li Punit Street earlier today. Over recent months, the white marl road has deteriorated due to rains. The road is heavily trafficked on a daily basis by shoppers, retailers, and residents who live in the Habet Housing area and persons who do daily business with the restaurants, and stores in the area.
