Belize Rural South Executive Committee

On Saturday, November 17th, the new UDP, Belize Rural South Executive committee was elected in San Pedro Ambergris Caye. New Chairman is Claudio Azueta with members being Enrique de Leon, Yadira Garcia, Walter Zepeda, Hector Alamilla, Karen Canul, Pablo Ico, Kevin Gonzalez, Sean Keating , Samuel Gonzalez, Roberto Canul, Gloria Stainez, Laura Che, Fernando Sosa and Ralph Humes. Elected as alternates were Betty Longsworth, Severo Guerrero, Sr. Joel Chi, John Marin and Alberto Villanueva.

Addressing the gathering was UDP Mayor Danny Guerrero, who stressed the importance of good communication and team work and the need to be visible at all possible events to promote all the good works that the UDP government is doing.

The Hon. Manuel Heredia, Area Representative and Minister of Tourism, also spoke about team work and the efforts of all present to work together for the improvement of the communities and for the Party and, by extension, for the betterment of the nation. He pledged his support to work together with the new executive and also, thanked them for accepting the challenge to work and promote the United Democratic Party.

The Hon. Patrick Faber, Party Chairman, in his address, spoke about the roles and responsibilities of the executive committee and the need for them to know that the executive is the body that looks after the division, supports the UDP Mayor and UDP Councilors as well as the UDP Area Representative. He added that they are part of the education process in letting everyone know about our great UDP. He also spoke of the good work that the Government is doing with the great leadership of our Party Leader and Prime Minister Hon. Dean Barrow.

The Party Chairman, performed the official swearing in of the new Executive members.

Also present, was the National Coordinator, Ruben Campos.
