Howling good fun at Saga's 2015 Spooktacular!

From as early as noon, attendees along with their furry friends began arriving, dressed in all kinds of costumes. From princesses to witches and even a lobster in a pot, the pooches were here to win! With activities such as a silent auction, raffles, face painting and even a kiss-a-pooch booth, everyone was kept well entertained. The San Pedro Belize Red Cross and the San Pedro Food Bank were also present, handing out informative literature and raising awareness for their non-profit groups.

But the highlight of the day was definitely the pet costume contest. One by one owners and pups lined up before three esteemed judges, in hopes of claiming one of four prizes. Tasked with making the hard decisions were founder of SHINE, Michelle Nuez, The San Pedro Sun's associate editor, Mary Gonzalez and Sales Agent for Diamante, Kristian Guerrero. This year's pet costumes were certainly creative, as pet owners went the extra mile to ensure their pooch was fully decked out.
