WHAT GUESTS WERE CATCHING:

BONEFISH (Macabi): BONEFISH BONEFISH BONEFISH Jeff from Seattle landed 40 in a day and came home an hour early to boot! Several first ever bonefish were caught with Carl, Gary, and Tim collecting their first El Pescador bonefish awards, bonefish seemed like the appetizer served to many guests just to wet their appetites for a try at permit and tarpon!

PERMIT (Palometta): Permit were still on fire this week, Jared got 3, his buddy Cameron landed one, Jeff's permit was part of his grand slam day, Steve (my friend from Alaska days) got his very first permit ever, and Lars and Mary doubled up on their boat late in the week to land a nice permit each.

TARPON (Sabalo): Jeff was first on the board with a tarpon that was part of his grand slam, Mike got a beauty; and numerous other anglers jumped fish, got fish to eat, got snubbed by a following fish or had a bunch of shots. A few migratory fish were spotted (but not hooked) as well. It is getting to be that time of year were we will start seeing some big boys and girls heading in to some of our flats.

OTHER SPECIES: Sharks, Jacks, ladyfish, snappers, cudas, shad, lookdowns

GRAND SLAM: Hip Hip Hurray for Jeff and his fantastic Grand Slam!!

FLIES THAT WORKED

FOR BONEFISH - you name it and it seems to work!

FOR PERMIT - Avalon, Bauer crab, ghost shrimp, Christmas Island Special

FOR TARPON - White Toad, black death

This Week's Summary:

Another fantastic permit week here in northern Belize. With good weather like this the guides can promise shots at all three species, all year round.

Fish On!
