WHAT GUESTS WERE CATCHING:
BONEFISH (Macabi):
Lots and lots of bonefish landed this week. The Bonefish Bonanza hosted by Orvis was just that, and the entire group caught fish. A host of other guests also landed plenty of bonefish. Brenda landed a nice bonefish on her way to a grand slam! What a great week of fishing regardless of the gusty winds.
PERMIT (Palometta):
Rowland, who was part of the Orvis Bonanza, landed a nice "first permit" along with Jerry and Louis. The permit were around this week but weren't as hungry as usual due to the unsettling weather. Steve and Brenda took advantage of the calm before the storm, and both landed nice ones.
TARPON (Sabalo):
Brenda, Ben, Chrissy and Louis all got an early start and headed south to take advantage of the early rollers. Ben and Chrissy made it happen quickly and landed some nice tarpon before most of us had breakfast. Leaving the dock early really paid off!
OTHER SPECIES:
Snook, barracuda, ladyfish, houndfish and snapper.
GRAND SLAM:
Congratulations to Brenda on her Grand Slam!
