Few cocktails have as many different recipes out there as the rum punch. Itís one of the best drinks to take liberties with, as you can feel like a mad scientist mixing and matching fruits and dialing down or cranking up the amount of rum you prefer. And, of course, you can play around with the types of rum, because this cocktail is all about good vibes.
That might be why the rum punch is also the official cocktail of Belize. Or maybe itís just because itís delicious. Whatever the reason, this is a drink that youíre sure to find on just about every restaurant and bar in the countryóand if itís missing from any, you should demand answers.
We are of the belief that if a cocktail is good enough to be a nationís official drink, we should want to know how itís made, and the Belize Tourism Board agrees. Thatís why they were kind enough to share this easy recipe with us, so we can answer the very important question: Is this the best rum punch weíve had this week?
