The San Pedro Town Council would like to wish all residents of San Pedro Town a Happy San Pedro Day!

Mayor Wally Nunez and his councilors were honored to serve breakfast to the fishermen and guides of San Pedro Town.

As we look back at our history we recongize that we are no longer small fishing settlement but one of the leading touristic destinations in our jewel, Belize.

We remember the vision of our forefathers and we commend the ingenuity of the children born from the "San Pedro Dream". There is no San Pedro without the inclusion of our diverse community of residents. Those who have dedicated their lives to the development and growth of our island; the entrepreneurs, the risk takers, the resilient and determined residents that contribute positively to San Pedro.

May "Dia De San Pedro" be a day on which we all remember why we call San Pedro "Home"

We would like to thank the San Pedro Catholic Church for keeping the tradition of San Pedro day alive. We were honored to collaborate with the working committees to make this day a special one.

Long live San Pedro!
Que viva!

========

Every June 29, the Catholic Church remembers Simon Peter, or religiously called Saint Peter, and Saint Paul. As San Pedro is the patron saint of fishermen on Ambergris Caye, homage is paid to the fisherman with processions on land and with boats on the sea. Happy Saint Peter and Saint Paul Day!

Hon. Andre Perez
