I'm sure that anybody just has to flip on the cable to see this, but Keith is strengthening, but only moderately, not like the Belize flare up.
The last report had him just under hurricane strength at 70mph. I guess a continuation of strengthening can be expected, but it appears Keith will not have enough time over water to become too strong, since a westward track is expected to hold.
I think they are saying it should impact land around noon tomorrow, or later, just north of Tampico, Mexico. A slight turn north is possible that would land him closer from La Pesca to Laguna Madre just under the border.
I estimate a 85-105mph range would not be out of the question with a steady rate of intensification. His motion is forward WNW at 12mph. So it is not likely he will sit over anybody again.
