Does anyone know if the Mata Chica resort was damaged in the hurricane? Is it possible to contact the resort?

#10154 - 10/12/00 01:15 PM Re: Mata Chica

I just received this message about 5 min ago (1:15 pm /CST).

Please be advised that Blancaneaux Lodge is not taking reservations for Mata Chica. I have been trying myself to call and get in contact with them but due to the storms and all that has been happening in San Pedro, the services for the lines are a bit slow. However, this morning we were informed by the telephone company that Mata Chica should have their lines installed again today.

Do hope that I have been of assistance and hope you get a response from them soon.

I saw mata chica from the water on Sunday and it looked pretty bad. However, there were quite a number of people there already doing clean-up. I would expect it is not currently in a good enough position for visitors.
