What is the easiest way to find the cheapest airfare to BZE? Travel agent, website like Travelocity, Orbitz, etc., airline website, any other source. My wife and I are planning to return in December after being there in 2001 for our honeymoon. Any tips or help would be much appreciated.

Thanks, JLowe.

my guess is Louisville, but just a guess laugh

You may get lots of feedback like
"this site is the best"
"this site is the only one to use"
"this one always has the best price"

The reality is no site is the best, all the time. Since your carriers into BZE are pretty much limited to USAir, Continental, American and Delta (although that one is pretty limited), you can check thier sites and get a good idea what the schedules are from Louisville or Cinci (DL hub), if that works for you. The you can use the major engines you listed above, along with others. You may find that by checking something like "Hotwire" (again not always the best)and giving it limits that match the majors individual sites you may be able to get a deal there. Knowledge is power.

Personally, I have generally found, especially in the past 12 months that the carriers own sites have the best pricing and not just limited to BZE, day in and day out.

And just remember, opinions are like belly buttons laugh

No way. The airline sites are good to get ideas, but the best deal on each individual airline site is just under $700. I booked my September trip for $525. Hotwire is running the same trip for under $500 after all taxes right now.

Not to create an argument, but as I said....not every site is the best at any time. Hotwire is good, sure no question, but comes with a price and is not the end-all-to-be-all. And it comes with a price - if you don't care about not earning FF miles, don't want to select the time of day, airline you fly or connections, then it can be a winner. I've used it myself and I agree, sometomes it is the way to go.

In some markets, where the options are limited, that becomes less of an issue as you can pretty much figure out who & when you will be flying. That's basically whayt I stated above - knowledge is power.

By the way, ever try to make a chane to a Hotwire ticket? Want to stay and extra day? leave early? Fuhgedaboudit

I've looked for lots of tickets to Belize.... Hotware does have some good prices...if you are willing to go by their schedule....some of the flights out of NC....for cheap...have you traveling almost 24 hours! Not worth saving 150 for me! They are all about the same if you want a good flight schedule. I have found that if I book on US Air ...that I can get a refund (voucher to use within a year)if the price of the ticket goes down.

Ever booked on travelocity, only to find you transposed a date? Welcome to the world of $266 per ticket charge to change! My fault for sure, but geez, it was still 2 months out and discovered within the week. Hey VIC... any news on US AIR?

Use the airline sites as your baseline for price and then surf around until you find a price that makes you happy and go for it. It's kind of like buying a computer for the first time, there will always be a better price/package to come along but you have to jump in at some time.

Good points all. I use Priceline and Hotwire a lot -- also buy the optional insurance and still save over the airline sites / expedia
