Hi all!!!

I can see from past posts that many people have their favorite places to stay on AC. What are some of the pros and cons of the following resorts? My husband and I don't have children and I'm a teacher who would rather be away from them during vacation. We DO enjoy having a fridge and being able to make a sandwich at lunch.

Victoria House
Belizean Shores
Banana Beach

Have I left off any others that are noteworthy?

Also, for tours like cave tubing, seeing the ruins and canopy tours is it better to stay in the rain forest for a few nights?

Thanks in advance!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you want to explore and get to know Belize, then you MUST spend some time on the mainland. While it's possible( and done every day, and most of us have done it) to visit the ruins., caves etc from a day trip, it's just not the same as being on the mainland. Like I tell everyone who asks me,IMHO, unless you spend time on the mainland, you have not seen BZE.

As to your loging options listed, all depends on what you personal fav is BB

Definitely stay on the mainland for a few nights. LOTS to do and less costly than going back and forth to the island every time. Perhaps Jaguar Paw resort would interest you for the jungle portion - it's where they do the cave tubing and canopy tour and they offer ruins tours.

As for the island both BB and VH are great - you may possiby find less kids at VH since it is more expensive overall.
