I am booked on AA in August coming and going on a Saturday. So far, my flight through DFW is a go. I would think that Saturdays are likely the most popular day to fly for a lot of folks so I am hoping that if they cancel more days of the week that Saturday will still remain.

In May, I was scheduled to fly on a Wednesday with AA which they cancelled, so I ended up flying out on a Thursday instead.

Just came across this thread and thought I was in the same boat as I'm also using AA FF miles for tix December 9th and outbound flight goes from DFW, return thro' Miami.

Have just downloaded the AA Timetable and it's showing this flight as scheduled for December 9th.

Not the kind of news you want to hear when you think you're all set for your honeymoon though! Have a great wedding, and more importantly, marriage!!!

While on the subject of airlines, does anyone know of any air lines that fly from Cancun to Belize? the major air lines are getting expensive to fly to Belize when they are charging about half to fly to Cancun. Starting 2006 Sprit Airline will be flying Miami to Cancun for $ 89.00 U.S.

You won't see a Cancun - Belize flight anytime soon. In order for Belize airlines to be given access to Mexico the Mexican airlines want access to Belize. That would kill our own homegrown airlines as they wouldn't be able to compete with the Mexicans. If that were to happen there would be the loss of hundreds of jobs for Belizeans and serious decrease of in-country service. Chetumal - Cancun will be the best you'll see for sometime.

There used to be flights between Cancun and Belize City. AeroCaribe for one, and another airline before that. If I recall correctly, Tropic even flew it at one time.

But there hasn't been any flights in the past three or four years. There really wasn't much demand. Belize is viewed as a backwater by most airlines, Mexican or otherwise.

The same thing holds for Cancun-Chetumal -- over the years various airlines have flown the route and most have discontinued service after a year or two. Buses make more sense on that route.

Though from Cancun (or Coz/Playa) to Belize City it is virtually a full day of travel and even if you fly from Corozal to San Pedro you're still spending a full day. Unless I'm spending time in the Yucatan, it's not worth it to me to take two full days, one going and one coming, getting from Mexico to Belize.

More interesting is what's happening with Tikal Jets. They're now flying three times a week from Flores to Belize City, jets and cheaper than Tropic and Maya Island. And now they're adding flights from Belize City to Havana. They already do Flores-Cancun and Flores-Guatemala City, among other destinations. And now Continental is flying Houston-Flores. I think we'll see more options coming from Guate rather than Mexico.
