I'm sick just looking at this latest pic. Too close and too large, too much like looking at Keith. I'm praying the damn thing spares our favorite little island and its people and animals this time. Board up every window and get lots of towels for under the doors, you'll need it, its the only thing that kept my family dry and safe during Keith.

Positive thinking here too, will feel much better when I see it turn north. I'm sure all will be safe and will celebrate the preparations for nothing with lots of Belikin and rum!

BC's will be the spot today but be prepared to help yourself, Bruce and Charlene will be by themselves pretty much. Poor Charlene was run off her feet last night.

Now that it's north of our latitude we can breath again. Chances are it won't look like anything worse than a tropical wave when it comes through tonight.

Now, what to do with all that beer we stocked up on smile

REEF radio just completed their 9 AM update this morning, Sunday, July 17th.
8900 people were evacuated from the island yesterday and the planes were running early this morning, but few people going out today.

No significant incidents of crime or mayhem were reported last night. Police with aid from soldiers are on active patrols.

No curfew has been set.

Jim JanMohammed, San Pedro Emergency Coordinator, stressed we are not out of the woods yet, Emily's current course can cause dangerous rains and the water will be very dangerous.

Here is a story that aired on Belize City Channel 7 on Friday night:

SAN PEDRO BRACES FOR EMILY

Hurricane Emily is tracking north, northwest with a projected path that
has it making landfall just above the northern part of the country in the Yucatan
Peninsula. But while hurricane forecasters have their predictions, we are hoping

We'll try and keep you posted. It is eerily quiet around, no taxis or anyone walking past our office.

We'll talk later....

Running out of rum is simply not allowed! LOL

Still keeping my favorite island paradise in the prayers not to mention the Yucatan...have friends in Playa del Carmen. Looks like several of them won't make their scheduled flights out and are being evacuated. Stay safe, all.
