Oops, I forgot to take out the blurb meant for our friends and family. Just ignore that.

Lisa & Paul,
I loved the cave photos! They all are great shots. The fire ant bites brought back not so great memories. I learned my lesson. They hurt like hell don't they? There is a thread on this board about fire ants. I started it after my experience. There is a lot of informative information if you are interested. You might just want to forget it though!
Thanks for sharing your trip. It made me smile.
Pam

how was the trip into the cave?, i think this is the same cave my family and i went in about 3 years ago, it was a really long drive through the jungle in the back of a pickup to get there. we passed through a rock querry (where the mine marble). did you seen any of this?

Yep, it sounds like the same caves. It was a long bumpy ride. We didn't have to sit in the back, though. I do remember a quarry and also about 2500 acres of fruit trees.

The cave was cool. It was really cool to see the Mayan artifacts, which for some reason I didn't take any pictures of.

yep the cave was really cool, saw the mayan skull siting up on the ledge, and numerous artifacts, it was a really neat cave water only about 3 feet deep clear and cold, it was a good hour or so trip into the cave, and then you have to stop because it can;t be accessable from canoe anymore, but our guide said that it continues on for many more miles. we also went through a "minanite" village .
