Hi there,
My husband and I are heading to Belize October 10th for our honeymoon and will be starting our trip with 5 days in Ambergris, then heading to Cayo for 2 nights weather permitting, Placencia for 4 nights, and ending in Caulker Caye for 5 nights .
We're well travelled byt have never been to Belize before and are hoping for some tips on what to expect for weather, bugs, what to bring, stuff to do etc.
Looking forward to your input!
Shell and Leroy

Hi there... I'll be making my first trip to AC in October as well, Oct 8-16, then a few days in Guatemala exploring area around Tikal, wrapping up in San Ignacio Oct 19-21. Maybe we'll run into each other somewhere along the way.

Cool, have a great trip! We'll be the Canadian couple, our only distinguising markings are some tattoo's.
Cheers!

I was just married there at Captain Morgans and it was wonderful. We were there for about 12 days, I think, and then went to the Maruba Spa to top off our honeymoon. Maruba was so very romantic and exotic....prefect for the honeymoon.

The only advice I would have is for the ladies...hairclips. I don't know how it is in October but it was breezy. It's a very comfortable breeze ...but results in lots of tangles for those with longer hair. Also, right at after sunset, there where some biting bugs so pack some light cotton pants for that time of night. We loved it there!!!!

Totally agree with keeping the hair up! Bring lots of good conditioner, and some clips or scrungies and braid it!

Haha Valentine, I'll be the Canadian single (no tattoos) looking ever so slightly lost but bound and determined to have a great time! laugh

Btw... what airline are you flying to get there on Oct 10? I had a flight booked with US Airways for that day, but they up and cancelled the flight so I had to change it to a day earlier.
