Hey there,
I've been watching the weather post on the forum as we count down the days untill we leave (9!), and I've noticed it seems to mostly be cloudy:(
We'll be on AC Oct 11, should be pack for cloudy weather, or assume the weathr will start to clear?
We're heading inland for a few days to go caving etc, not sure whether it is cooler there or not. Any suggestions?

Bring light rain gear, you never know what you'll get at this time of year. Even the cloudy days are usually more sunny than cloudy. It will be cooler cave tubing but usually only by 2 or 3 degrees.

Val -- the weather report called for rain and clouds every day we were there 2 weeks ago. Only rained twice during the day and only for 15 minutes. Dress for HOT regardless of cloudcover and as Simon says -- light rain gear should do it.

I will have a Belikin -- put it on klcman's tab.

I just carry around one of those little plastic ponchos that come packaged about the same as "purse" size kleenex pack. You can buy them at Walmart or a drugstore for a couple of bucks. Easy to pack in your suitcase and easy to throw in your purse or a pocket while out and about in SP.

I have been there in December, and on two separate trips, had to go to the hardware store and buy a big yellow slicker but you shouldn't have to worry about that on your upcoming holiday.

We just got back to the US, after a week in AC. Before we left, the weather people said it was thunder storms the whole week we planned on being there. We had only one day of full rain, and it was the day we left. The rest of the time was beautiful. It rained a couple of times at night, but sunny and wonderful during the day. I think if you take an umbrella, you will be fine. And, water proof shoes if you wear them...flip flops flip the wet sand onto your rear end, but barefoot works, too. Have a wonderful time.

only 3 more nights untill we start our jouney to Belize. I've been watching the post on weather on this forum and it looks dismal, every day says cloudy/ rain/ thunderstorms frown
I'm crossing my fingers and hoping we can catch some rays while we're there. Any thoughts on the reality of the weather, is the weather report accurate?

No, the weather is fine. Mostly sunny, brief showers mostly at night.
