Highly recommend Tony with Amigos Del Mar. It'd been two years since I last dove and my first dive was to 80 feet. Tony did everything but breath for me. I hope to return next year and dive with them again.
AND CRAZEE IS THE NAME OF HIS BOAT, SO DON'T LET CRAZY EDDIE'S SCARE YA! I DID MY FIRST DIVE EVER WITH EDDIE. VERY PATIENT, PROFESSIONAL, AND KIND. MADE ME FEEL AT EASE.
As dive instructors that think very highly of most mentioned, even the Divemasters, the question should be, who not to go to, the list is much shorter.
But seriously, I agree in a way but I think it's much nicer to handle it this way. It's especially helpful when people say why they picked who they did.
Another vote for Robbie @ Chuck & Robbies. My wife was getting all worked up over doing her referal dives and Robbie was fantastic at calming her down and getting her to enjoy the dive.
I dove 2 weeks with Protech in Aug. This was my second year diving with them. Divemaster Gilbert does a great job teaching and is extremely helpful and patient as are the rest of the gang. I've found that being a smaller operation, you get more personalized attention at Protech.
