i've set up (but not activated yet) an emergency area of the message board
so if the shit hits the fan, two addl areas on the board will open. one for general storm posts for any web user, and an emergency zone for local emergency information, read only for web users. Emergency personnel on the island who want to post in this area register as a user of the board then let me know and i'll set you up as an admin.

hope its a fire drill. //AmbergrisCaye.com/messages/

Ramons is evacuating guests. Caribbean Villas is also. So I'd imagine most folks are.
Folks are boarding up and plan to get their staffs off tonight.

People coming to San Pedro should watch the storm carefully and not plan
to come until the storm has turned and is no longer a threat.

Tropic has suspended RESERVATIONS off the island it is first come first go. They are flying each 15 minutes.

Says one hotel:
By tomorrow we should have all guests off the island. We should be boarded up and waiting.
---------
NEMO has been activated. On Caye Caulker,
Atlantic Bank was open for business today for two hours - 8:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m.
Once it closes, its employees will be evacuated.
There will also be a mandatory evacuation of tourists
taking place today (on Caye Caulker). People on both islands are boarding up.
