Hello-
Please give me any information about the island as I have never been. I will be staying at the Spindrift between Christmas and New Years. Are there public swimmable beaches? What are the must-do day trips and how much are they/how long do they take? Im a new diver, where should I be sure to dive and where can I get the best deals? Can you dive from the beach? Anything else anyone can give me info on would be great!

May I be so bold as to ask a question of you first? Ya, I be.

How did you end up picking San Pedro as your destination?

(Peter, I knew there was a little troll running loose in here)

A fish and a bird can fall in love, but where will they build their nest?

I recently chose to make Ambergris Caye my first out of country / tropical vacation. I did a lot of research on it though before making my descision. There's plenty of info online. Best place to start that seems to have anything you'd ever need to know is this website:

Chuck and Robbie's seem to have some good dive prices http://www.ambergriscayediving.com . Amigos Del Mar are great to dive with as well. We'll be diving with both when we return next month. You'll LOVE the diving!!!

The trip to Lamanai is great day trip:

What you need to know: pack light and VERY casual. The people are great, the food is delicious, and the worst part of your trip is leaving AC. Enjoy!
