Hi Folks, All is well here. This is Dallas Dave's wife, Lacy. We live about a mile south of town. So far today we've had occassional light to medium rainfall and some wind gusts. The center has passed our coast without the 65 mph winds expected. The surf is about 15 feet above normal so storm surge isn't too bad. No serious flooding so far that we know of. Patty Arceo gave us good information on Reef Radio at 9:00pm, saying to expect rain and wind for the next 6-12 hours. As I write this, the rain has just started here. Another update from Patty will broadcast at midnight our time, for anyone with a short wave, at 92.3 FM. The Belize Defense Force is here since yesterday and we had a 6:00pm curfew tonight. Alcohol sales are suspended. NEMO and Patty are doing a great job. And all utilities are still intact. So far, so good! The overnight storms may knock the power and water out but we all had time to prepare for that this time. This is so much easier than Keith. Don't worry, we're all doing fine. Lacy

Lacy here, Let me explain that 15 feet. The surf isn't 15 feet in height, but 15 feet laterally up the shore than the normal high tide line. Sorry for the confusion. LB

Isn't it nice to know that the people who can't decide which bars in town should be allowed to sell liquor, can, when they can't make any other relevant decisions, tell us all when we can drink.

A hearty toast to all members of the San Pedro Liquor License Board and Emergency Committee! Another job well done.
