Sitting here at work in an office building in Los Angeles thinking about a trip to Belize. Never been, but have heard good things about it. But I am a little concerned about the potential for a vacation ruining storm in September (next few weeks). Aside from the major hurricane, is the weather there quite rainy during this time? Is it similar to Florida - if you don't like the weather just wait an hour or so?

The odds are against another hurricane next month (though tropical weather is never predictable) but my advice is to wait a few weeks and come in November, when you are likely have much more sun than rain and steady tradewinds, if you have a choice about when to take your vacation.
