ST. MATTHEW'S UNIVERSITY SCHOOL OF MEDICINE
HURRICANE WARNING BULLETIN!
October 8, 2001

St. Matthew's University School of Medicine ordered all students and faculty to evacuate the island of Ambergris Caye at noon Sunday, October 7th, 2001 due to the threat of Hurricane Iris. The University will be closed for one week and classes will resume October 15th on the Ambergris Caye campus unless significant damage is sustained. In the event of significant damage, classes will resume in San Ignacio, Belize on October 15th.

Students were advised to fly to their homes in the US or take a bus to San Ignacio where there is more than sufficient hotel space available. Those students going to San Ignacio should contact Dr. Nancy Adamson upon arrival. Please watch this website for further notices. All students are requested to maintain contact with the Florida office and keep us apprised of your current location and how you can be reached. Please contact your families also as they may be concerned about your welfare.
