the direct coordinates showing on the sat shot are 16 50' by 88 51'
I don't know the Placentia location but the eye hit the coast at almost exactly 8:15 belize time from the shots we get.

The White regions are very heavy rain from what I remember about the bitch Chantal...and it seems like the 2 cayes are getting drenched.
If the communications have been down since NOON today and the hurricane is so far away then those at BTL should be crucified! for just another Belize Tech moment after all the new equipment and telephone lines and cell towers that they put into Caye Caulker.
WHAT A JOKE!
What happens when something REALLY hits the cayes!???????

mathing up a good map of belize with that sat shot, it looks very likely that Placencia was hit almost directly...that is bad.
Hoping they are all well. Kevin who runs a great fishing service down there has a good website, but according to his site, he evacuated....that's good
