I, too, am saddened by the passing of Paisano. It's great to see that he made many friends from this board. I, too, bought a shell from him for a few bucks but unfortunately I did not keep it.

In one of your posts about Paisano you mentioned a man named Richie Woods.

I met Richie the first time I went to SP and all of the other 5 times I have been there I've always looked him up. He wasn't very hard to find. He, too, has led a hard life.

Marty, can you tell me how Richie is doing these days. It has been a few years since I've been back to SP but I do remember the last time I was there Richie was to be moving into a house boat on the lagoon side. The house boat was to have been bought by his sister as sort of a way to look after him.

Again, Marty, any news about Richie Woods.

Thanks much,
yat

Richie is doing fine. He can be found often outside Coconets.

Hey yat, do you want me to walk out front (I'm at Coconet) and give Richie a message? I can see him sitting on the bench right now!

Thanks, govikes and Marty. Glad to hear Richie is still alive and kicking.

Govikes, thanks for the offer of passing on a message but I doubt he'd remember me. When we met I gave him my name which is E.J. I was in SP with my buddy Reno. We used to spend some time each day talking with Richie and having a beer or two together. He's a smart man and has loads of interesting things to talk about.

It's been a few years since my last visit to SP but on my last visit Richie showed me some papers indicating that his sister had bought or was supposed to buy a houseboat for him to live on.

Again, I'm glad he's still alive and kicking.

Finally... has anyone seen JD riding his bike around San Pedro? He is a Brit, fairly short, and has not many good teeth left. Several years ago he used to stand outside and hustle tourists into Big Daddy's for dinner. Last time I saw him he was doing some painting on the complex that is now the newer addtion to Banana Beach, I believe.

lol, when I first wrote Richie was fine, I was also going to mention JD so funny you ask...

he is doing well, funny as usual. Spent an hr with him on New Yr's Day having a drink at Fido's while he asked me numerous times if he could "have permission" to play with my chest. Told me he once had a girlfriend with the "same nice rack" but he couldn't remember her name. "but definately recognized that rack."

Funny guy.

he also told me I spent too much on my bloody Mary, and for only $5 BZ I could have all of him..."and for only $2 more, I won't tell your man!" lol. I told him I'd have to pass...cause I can't keep secrets about myself from friends or close ones.

Kra-Z-K,

JD is quite a character. We used JD as a tour guide the first time we were in San Pedro and every visit after that we alway looked him up. He had a knack for knowing where things were happening on any given night. He took us north to the bars up past the high school and around to the lagoon side. He took us south to the Black and White and the bar around the lagoon side of the airport and then over to the boatyard. And if you stayed and had a few beers at Fido's JD would eventually turn up.

Last time I was in San Pedro he apparently was working a regular job doing some painting.

I can tell I'm missing AC real bad. Feels like time is close to go back down there.
