Need to be nosey. Have gone through the previous posts and appears at one time ('02?) there was some discussion of a volunteer fire brigade/department/company/etc. I'll be visiting for my first time on January 20th, and as a volunteer firefighter for almost 15 years would love to visit any of the firehouses in the area. Anyone have any suggestions?

AFD_Bob, There is one station in San Pedro. It is manned by the Belize National Fire Brigade. They have a mini-pumper and an old Howe pumper from a city in NC. I'm not sure if it runs. The station is right next to the PD building. Enjoy your trip. cool

very cool. As a former volunteer firefigher, love checking out stations, tools, equipment. LOL.

I have pictures of hire hydrants from Monterey Bay California...and pictures of hyperbaric chambers too. Guess my trip in March will involve some "non-touristy" visiting at the fire dept too!

Thanks all. Hope to get a chance to stop by and visit the brothers with my 3 yr old daughter.

- Oregon Diver: Hope your pictures of the hyperbaric chamber didn't include you or anyone else LOL

It would be great to meet you and share stories. Jan and I will be arriving on the 21st. I have been a volunteer for 28 years and an EMT for 25 years. I have stopped and visited the fire hall in San Pedro before. We are staying at Captain Morgans and always make BC's for BBQ on Sundays. I normally will have a Huskers shirt on. Hope to see you.
