Sorry this took so long to finish but the whole family came down with colds and we are finally back to normal, (or as close to normal as we can get)
As I said in my last report this was our third trip to San Pedro and I decieded it was about time we went to shark ray alley, what a experience. We went with bottomtime and had a fabulous time. Is is sureal to be in the ocean with all those fish. I was doing great until I looked ahead of me and there it was.....A SHARK. I swear I heard the theme music to Jaws playing. I took a picture and as my husband likes to say I walked on water. I got back in the boat as fast as my legs would get me there. after I got my breath I said what the hell and got back in the water. Then the sting rays showed up that was great holding them and having them swim all around you. We returned to Banyan Bay and hit Mata Rocks for Happy Hour, let me tell you after going there for Happy hour we didn't go anywhere else. Not only are there Pina Colada's the best on the island but there meat pies are great also.
We hit a few of our favorite restaurants while we where there. Blue Water Grill, what can I say the food is unbevielable and excellent service, One of our favorites has to be Georges Kitchen we would eat breakfast lunch and dinner there the food is great and Maria is a fabulous owner/waitress. We ventured to the restauant at Banana Beach our last night on the island it was ok the food was good but the service was spoty at best. We had 9 people in our party and only 4 got there dinner at the same time and the other 5 had to wait a good 20 minutes for theirs. My parents went to the new restaurant at the Yacth club. they got there and there was one other couple there, no one else. My dad took one look at the prices on the menu and decieded to leave. On their way out they ran into a group of ladies who asked what the restaurant was like my dad said it is great if you want to go broke eating dinner.
One day my parents decieded they wanted to go and look at houses on the island and they found a propety they really liked. We called the agency that had the listing and booked a time to take a look at the house. When we got there I had the pleasure of meeting Chris from
Pelican Properties and the Infamous Pedro2 AKA Peter, what a pistol he is!!!
I spent most of my vacation just relaxing and enjoying the beach by day and the bars by night thank god the grandparents where there to babysit for us. We hit Fido's a few times but mostly stayed at Crazy Canucks.
My husband fished 6 out of the 10 days we where there with his good friend and fishing guide Luis Caliz. He was fly fishing and catching bone fish. Also our eight year old son caught his fist bone fish on a fly was he happy.
We have already booked our next trip for October 7th thru the 14th. I am aleady counting down the days. I can't seem to get enought of San Pedro. That feeling you get as you are just about to land in San Pedro where all your stress just disappears and you feel so relaxed.
