we will be arriving last week of april to stay at Belizean Shores. Any advise on how to get there from Belize City (boat vs plane). Is there a place to store bags while we shop for breakfast and rum punch makings at grocery. Any other info we need to know? Thank you.

Either book you own airfare or e mail your hotel and have them do it for you...the price is about the same.

We had Lagniappe deliver our basic groceries to our place prior to arrival. I still shopped for some fresh fruit, etc. but it was awfully nice not to have to go right to the store and start running down food. They did a great job for me.

Simon and Lagnaippe are the best! No need to shop the first day there. Check it out!

we're in the weird minority that loves the water taxi - makes all the difference in starting the trip as far as we're concerned!

Boat takes about an hour, can be choppy, bumpy & rough -also wet as in waves crashing in, but it is the cheaper and more local travel mode.
Airplane takes 15-20 min. to be in San Pedro Town, I am always too eager to get my feet in the water & sand to wait for a boat.
In San Pedro you can take a Taxi and ask the driver to stop at the grocery, liquor & other stores, your bags will be safe. No need to shop in Belize city unles you want to, San Pedro has all of your fixings usually. Also you can tell BS you would like to stop for a few things before you head north away from most of the stores, and they should accommodate your desires (ie give you time to shop before they pick you up or stop & wait for you to shop on your way.
Belize it!
