OMG, I can't thank everyones suggestions for our first trip. We dove, ate, drank and swam to our hearts content. What a paradise this place is. Loved, loved, loved every minute of it. Met some boarders and especially loved the BBQ at BC's on Sundays. Went to two of them and as you said the food was great. Trip report to follow.
Thanks for everything. You guys made our vacation so special.

Kra-Z-K and Travelqueen. Great to meet you georgous gals. We'll be back. Did I mention, we loved AC. Best place with the absolutely nicest people we've ever met. Especially the locals. We were so amazed at their graciousness.

Mata Rocks was great. Everything you said it was. My pictures look like yours mobunny. Just a awesome place to stay. We were pleased and surprised with the extras. Free shampoo/conditioner/body soap dispenser in shower. Coffee pot/coffee and cream in the room every morning. Free locking safe in closet. The view. It was million dollar view. Great staff in Criselda, Monica and Charlene. Terry and Liz came for happy hour daily to visit and chat. They went way beyond in their duties. Calling all our contacts for us for the trips/tours we had planned. Making dinner reservations or ordering carry out. What a great place to stay. The bed was awesome. So soft yet firm. I never slept like that on vacation. We're used to concrete hard type beds on vaca. Not here. There were always little things being done to make sure the place always looks just perfect. Never obtrusive though.
The view: Every single room faces the sea. Only 16 rooms. We had the pool to ourselves.
We did our daily dives with Amigos del mar. Rene and Tony were great. The only disappointment was the amount of divers on each boat. Tony handled it great though. No newbies so it really wasn't an issue. We were just surprised to have 10 divers on most days. We loved the dives. All the cuts and canyons of Cozumel but the amount of sharks, eagle rays, manta rays, and turtles pleasantly surprised us. It was awesome. This is not my trip report, I'm still compiling it for the proper post. Just had to share the high lights.
Gail, we sure did have a wonderful time. Talk about relaxing. What a great place to go. More later.
