We are planning are wedding and want get married on the caribbean on an island. I know each destination has resorts with wedding planning and packages, but we are not interested in planning directly with a resort. We would like to do a package that we can customize and create on our own. Has anyone here been married in Belize or know who to contact to plan a wedding on the island? Thanks.

I know 3 couples that were married on San Pedro, all were at Victoria House. 2 had prenup dinners
and/or receptions at Capricorn.

thank you, i looked into their weddings and contacted many resorts. They offer "a wedding package" and was looking more for a wedding planning company so I do not have to do it all their way and have options and choices. It looks lovely, just not interested in the resorts ways.

I'm too lazy to do the search, but I've seen several posts on here by/about people who have planned their own weddings in SP - everything from a small simple wedding to what sounded like pretty elaborate affairs. I know several people have made recomendations about some "wedding planner" types on the island that have good connections for everything from flowers and cakes to an in w/ the catholic priest. All that to say - try the search function - sorry I'm no more help than that!

A lot of info in 2004, and one in 2005. Any other advice is greatly appreciated. Does anyone also plan things for the girls and guys to do before the wedding, the day before?

I bit the dust at the SunBreeze. It was a great time and we did a lot of our own planning. The biggest thing is to get help with the official paperwork. You can do flowers, photographers, music, reception plans and such to fit your needs. A day of golf on Caye Chapel will be a great way for the guys (or girls) to spend the day before the wedding.

My personal advice is to give your fiancee half your money and then to go on holiday with your girlfriend
