San Pedro constable is officer of the month
Every month the police department chooses an employee whom they believe has gone above and beyond the call of duty and recognises that man or woman as officer of the month. Today, the police commissioner announced his choice for March 2006. He is police constable Dwayne McColluch, working out of San Pedro, Ambergris Caye. According to a police press release, McColluch has been with the department for five years, serving as a beat officer on Albert Street, before transferring to La Isla Bonita two years ago. In San Pedro McColluch functions as a court orderly and a Zone Beat Liaison Officer, working closely with the island's schools and students, as well as the Police Youth Cadet Corps. The twenty-five year old is originally from Ranchito Village in the Corozal district.
