This post is about a lady that was hit by a golf cart. Why do people on this board make light of everything?

Donations have been made, prayers sent out, what is wrong with a little levity. Should the lite side be moved to chat, yes, but I am not a board cop.

Actually this post was about 'people just do not care'; there are other posts about the severity of the situation. I think some boards regulars changed the "tone" due to the fact that a lot of threads have been taken out of context.

I, as a tourist, look to this board for the unendless plethora of information, as well as the local news about what is happening in San Pedro. And, yes, the posts can deviate at times, but the heart is ALWAYS there!

I agree about levity being a positive thing, even in the face of a tragic event. I ran into a friend's mother at the post office one day; it was the first time I'd seen her in a few months. I knew she had cancer and was undergoing chemotherapy. She looked awful. I said, "Jackie, you look like CRAP! How are you feeling?" She laughed so hard she almost cried! She said she KNEW she looked like Hell, and we knew each other well enough for her to understand my comment was meant to lighten an otherwise rather depressing moment. It's OK to be "light" in dark times.

I did not mean that there should be some levity about the situation but why are we talking about restaurants and peoples experienses at them, that is not what this post is about. This post is about the fruit lady and how people care more about other things than her. This post confirmes that people just do not care!!

WRONG, PEOPLE DO CARE> IF YOU LOOKED AT THIS THE RIGHT WAY, you would find that this board is more than generious. Did you do the right thing and donate? Back off sister, you know not of what is right.
