I haven't been to San Pedro in 2 years and am planning my return in December. I am looking at Pelican Reef Villas only if construction isn't too bad, does anyone have an update on how bad the construction is? White Sands Cove also looks pretty good, but I usually do not stay North of town so am not sure I want to venture up there, are there any new restaurants up there?

The construction on the front two buildings of Pelican Reef should be complete by December. We were there in June and they were pouring the roof. The owners, the Lawrences, opened a small grocery store down the street which is real nice for those have to have items when you don't feel like going back into town. We have a condo there and will be back in early Sept., so I can give you an update, or contact Lori in the office via the website for more info.

About White Sands Cove and the subject of restaurants nearby - 3 minute walk to Capricorn, just a bit more to Captain Morgan's and also easy access to Caliente North (at the Essene way). A bit north of that is Blue Moon (at Belizean Shores). A new eating place opened near the Palapa bar too.
There is a grocery store at Captain Morgan's and Lagniappe does a super job of provisioning.
