Does anyone know if the Atlantic bank in Placencia is still standing/open for business? Or if western Union is still operating there?

PBS is a Western Union facility now as well...but imagine theirs will not be operable any sooner than the bank, both dependent on elect. & phones being restored, and PBS is no doubt focussed on getting construction materials shipped down and distributed

Suspect that the closest Western Union office that would be available would be in Dangriga. The Belize Bank does fly into Big Creek every Friday (not sure if this would still be happening) but when it did come in everything was done by phone with them just calling to verify that you had the funds, since the phone lines are still up maybe this is an option for some people.

PBS is up and running, Steve is running up and down the peninsula doing everything he can for whoever he can, you know Steve..a tireless person with lots of energy and love of community.

he PBS facility received some damage but not enough to close them down. Biggest problem for Steve is phone servise....come on BTL, do your thing!
