I have been all over pics posted and none include this area. We have the 2 story Octagon across the canal from Lagoon Saloon and havent been able to contact anyone who has seen the extent of damage. Any info would be appreciated. We are trying to figure out if there is enough left to stay in or if we should make other arrangments for someplace to stay when we come to help with relief efforts.

Isn't Soulshine now Serenity or v/v?
There was a pic in "Tony Rath flew over..."
I'm not sure if you can tell much but...

Soulshine is in Placencia and Serenity is north of the airstrip, between Rum Point Inn and Roberts Grove.
I have not been able to see the details on either resort. The main buildings for Serentiy seem to still be standing but, I can't see the details in the p[ictures available for Soul Shine.

I have been advised by friends on the ground that my house is gone except for the concrete first floor.

Lance and Family, Lee and Missy, the new crew at Sugar Caye (Lagoon Saloon) and Penny Dial are all OK.

I have seen no info on Soulshine or the Vickstroms.

down load these, go to the very last picture
named PLACENCIA something.... your house is there!
We own the little grey house next to you,
directly accross from Lagoon Saloon,
we still dont know
about our house yet.

please help if you can...I am looking for information on my house..just purchased in march this year..I am up the street behind the soccer field there is a big wood one on stilts in front of mine with a large porch on it the house is stained mine sat right behind it and the outside was unfinished or not stained yet..any info appreciated..ron and debbie pitt...

I have the overflight picture of an area which includes the area west of the soccer field in Placencia.
I enlarged the photo to 300% so that I could get a better look.

I am not sure which house your talking about
but there are several houses still standing in the area.


If your talking about the little street that
starts at the middle soccer ground and then
goes west you may be in pretty good shape.
