People in the community are desperately trying to help SAGA with the great work they are doing and have organised an open day (approved by the SAGA board) on Saturday the 8th between 10 and 2 at the SAGA clinic. This day is particularly aimed at encouraging people to give their time or money to the organisation. Right now foster homes for puppies and kittens are urgently needed as are volunteers willing to commit regular energy to keeping the clinic and shelter running well. Without a doubt, those that can't donate time might want to help by donating some money. We can assure people that with more help, SAGA will not only be able to do more to help the animals of San Pedro but will also be able to keep members and contributors updated and involved. SAGA and the wonderful service they provide is essential to everyone who lives here, loves animals and loves San Pedro but it can only cope with increasing demands with serious and committed support.

My husband and I are planning a trip in mid Oct for AC and San Ignacio-first time for both. We travel light and would be happy to bring whatever supplies you still need at the time. Let us know if there are any other charitable organizations that might require items brought in from the states.
I wonder if I could get some advice about hotels we are researching. Capt Morgans and Xanadu both look lovely and have kitchens to hold our food (read:beer) so we can afford to eat out. Is there any difference between the northern and southern beach area? Tamons Village looked very tropical and a cool pool but saw some uncomplimentary revues. We like to be able to explore the area...any suggestions are appreciated?

SAGA's Open Day for volunteers was great fun for everyone and so many lovely and caring people attended. As a result, six people have volunteered their time and energy. SAGA still very much needs volunteers, particularly with foster care, fundraising and out of hours nursing for animals in the clinic. If you think you can help, please phone SAGA on 226 3266 or pop into the clinic. Donations are also always gratefully received.
