I use to use Travelocity to watch for cheap fares to Belize, but they have changed their fare alert system. Any ideas - other websites. My problem seem that we are staying longer this time, just under 6mns. I know that does not seem like a great problem but airfare twice what we are use to paying does. $1,188 That is just over the top, might have to drive if ya all don't come up with any idea's for Indygal. Down in late Oct.
Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass, it's about learning to dance in the rain.
Since you have so much time, look at flying into Cancun and taking the bus to the border. That's what we're doing in a couple weeks. It's a little more than half the price of flying to Belize City. It doesn't work if you're short on time since you have to spend the night somewhere in Mexico. We like staying in Tulum.
Hi Indygal: The cut-off is usually 4 months for the good fares...which is what I go for. I am planning on making my trip in late Nov or Dec...and it is not really too late to find a good fare. Take care: Bill PS. the fare to Cancun is usually very inexpensive and the first class bus to Belize is a breeze. The cost of the return flight would be the problemo, since you'll hafta eat your return ticket from Cancun for a six month stay. Maybe return via donkey???
Indygirl, I just got a multi-city deal from continental(after going on-line everyday!) For $667. u.s from Belize, to Vegas, to San Antonio to Belize!!! Taca has great deal from Houston to Belize and back, but we live here...aarrrggghhh! Tried all of the sites, but Continental gave best deal...Saved $200 u.s. in one day of looking.
Hi Indygal: If you do decide to drive, I might be able to share the driving and expense...I live here in St Louis as you recall. Anyway, I also have hour upon hour of bad jokes and yes, I enjoy yoddling the miles away. Bill
