I am thinking about bringing a small (Table top style) Gas BBQ grill down to Ambergris Caye. My question is: What type of gas is available on the island for this type of grill? It currently utilizes small "camping stove" type of canisters. Are they available to purchase on A/C or do I need some sort of adapter, If so to what?
I did a search in this forum but could not find any information pertaining to this subject.

2MILE, propane or butane. I believe I saw small bottles of propane at the market near the airport. B-B-Qing old security guards.

deacon, It Say's Propane on the little bottle. Yes we make Croc sausage out of all the Crocks that fail our school. Got a few wallets, shoes and stuff left over too. Maybe we can make a deal to sell some @ the deacon depot and tattoo emporium wink

Concider just putting a couple bottles in check-in luggage. Or there's always burn coconut husks, keeps the bugs away as you cook.

Cannisters are available in the many hardware stores on Ambergris Caye.

The canisters don't matter. Be sure the grill is "jetted" for propane or butane, not natural gas.As for bringing the canasters with you, hope you got a good lawyer.
