I live in Canada and I'm in the process of collecting some kids story books and school supplies to bring to Belize.
We will in Belize on Dec.11th for the day (Regal Cruise)and plan on driving around exploring, we would like these books to be able to go to the kids of the areas that were hit badly by Iris. Is there anyone who can help us find out who/where we can take these books to?
Thanks

If you will be in or around Toledo District (where the hurricane hit) those supplies would be graciously accepted by the Big Falls primary school or any of the other schools in the area. You could call Marie Aleman, a teacher at the school at 011-501-71-2025, or e-mail Francisca Bardalez (fbardalez@btl.net) and ask her to give a message to Marie Aleman. I'm sure they could arrange for someone to pick them up in Belize City if that is where your boat is arriving. Big Falls is pretty far from Belize city, but if you have time, it would be well worth the trip, and the people there would be happy to greet you.
