My wonderful friend David Mervin Key passed away at 8am this morning.

He died
peacefully, he just stopped breathing. His family got a chance to say goodbye
to him and all feel it was a good death (as far as these things go). The family
will be having his ashes buried in the Veteran's cemetary here in Houston,
but aren't sure exactly when yet. I will post the time so everyone can
drink a Belikin during the time of the memorial service.

I miss him so much. I love that man.

Oh, Marty. I am so sad for you. I know you two were close and that you'll miss him. He seemed to really enjoy this board and his posts make for wonderful memories.

When the death of someone who's close to your heart happens, there's really nothing anyone can say that will dissipate the sadness right now. Eventually you'll be able to recall his accomplishments in life and smile but there is always the pang of deep sadness. I'm sure he'd be touched to know he's so missed.

Marty, you were very fortunate to have such a wonderful friend. Over time all of us have seen some of the relationship between the two of you and know it was wonderful. He will continue to be in your memories for eternity, as it should be.
