Hiya - I saw a previous post asking about the day trip to Tikal from AC - given the flight time and to and from the Tikal National Park surely that would only give you about 4 hours in the that sufficient? Thinking about overnighting but then would be paying for our lodging in both places...thought about doing the day trip to Limanai but Tikal looks wonderful

Tikal is great.
I stayed in Flores overnight for $5 a night, and it was a nice clean room. For room with A/C and Tv, expect to pay $10-15
It's roughly an 1 1/2 hour ride to Tikal in the morning.... plus Flores is a cool town worth checking out.

4 hours at the site is plenty! I recommend overnighting, it is worth it. Super cheap too. I really loved Hotel Santana, a room with a veranda on the lake cost me $30 US. You can get rooms for $10 US easy too.
