Is it a single cab or extended cab?

It is a single cab. We have two girls, 5 and 2 years old and the four of us can sit in it okay.

Gas or diesel?

Gas engine, only a 2.3 liter so the gas mileage is great! Over 100 miles for 1/4 tank of gas for our trip from US to Belize.

Is it in decent shape ie good engine condition overall

The vehicle is in great condition, the only thing I noticed is there is no rear bumper. According to the elderly man (original owner) that we bought it from, this year of Ranger did not come with a rear bumper. We did go to all the junkyards and in fact not one 1991 Ford Ranger had a bumper we could buy. We drive vehicles down for a living, everything we buy has been tested by the long road from the US to Belize. If it had any problems, we certainly would have experienced it during the long journey.
